Our Favorites…

Naples has something for every season! From scenic hikes and lake adventures to cross country and downhill skiing nearby. We have been so impressed by this small town and all it has to offer. Live music, farm to table dining, wineries and waterfalls make Naples a great place to visit.

PLENTY THE DINER

OLD SCHOOL CAFE

Naples, long known for its stunning, pastoral scenery and grape-related industries is home for Brown Hound Downtown owners, Trish Aser & Joe Scardilla. The quaint village, population 2500, is seeing a boom in craft beverage, agribusiness, artist & maker studios and recreational excursions. The two saw potential for a new dining concept and in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Trish & Joe closed on their new property, a 150-year-old school house, and began renovations. Opening a year later in summer 2021, Old School Cafe offers a casual, vintage atmosphere with a thoughtful menu focused on coffee, espresso, pastry, and creative, brunchy food. A full bar rounds out the options. Evening offerings coming soon.

Outside of the Brown Hound and the Old School, you’ll find Trish and Joe, their two dogs and two cats snuggled up in their cabin in the woods – hiking, biking, skiing, boating and enjoying everything the Finger Lakes has to offer.

MUST HAVES ~

Old School Breakfast Sandwich // Comes with candied bacon and smokes pepper sauce…absolute dynamite! Also, add a side of the seasoned fries.
Sunshine French Toast // Like fried dough but filled with Lemon Curd, served with Bourbon Maple Syrup. Dessert for breakfast!

PLENTY THE BAKERY

Nestled in the Finger Lakes just east of Rochester, you’ll find this quaint bakery where husband and wife duo Michelle & Brendan have been sharing their love for quality baked goods since 2020.  Plenty the Bakery, born from a dream to live a slower, more intentional life is open to the public just one day a week – and that’s plenty [for now].

Throughout the storefront you will find antiques and nostalgic pieces Michelle has collected from her love of thrifting. A cozy nook with knitting needles invites you to sit down and stay awhile.  The space is symbolic of the love and kindness the owners hope to share with and instill in their community, one cinnamon roll at a time.

MUST HAVES ~

Cinnamon Rolls // Frost your own with a big ole cup of their homemade frosting, then put more frosting on everything else you buy from here!
Salted Bittersweet Chocolate Chip Cookie // Literally one of the best choco chip cookies we’ve ever had! It won’t disappoint.
Oatmeal Cream Pie // Like the classic but wayyy better!
